Our Experience

ChassinDreamz photography not only produced bad quality photographs, but the owner Christopher violated his own contract by refusing to release the money paid on top of the nonrefundable $1,000 and is refusing to reference under what part of his own contract he is withholding the funds. In December of 2023, my daughter’s fiancée retained ChassinDreamz. As per ChassinDreamz contract, $1,000 was to be paid at the time of signing and it was non-refundable. The other $1,000 was to be paid by the wedding day in December of 2024, a year from the signing. My daughter’s fiancée paid $2,000 at the time of the signing of the contract. Subsequent to the signing of the contract there was an engagement photo shoot. The pictures were of really bad quality and unprofessional. Besides us not liking them, I consulted a family member professional photographer in a different country who explained how the photographs were unprofessional lighting wise, angle wise and such. In July of 2024, five months before the final payment was due, my daughter’s fiancée sent a very nice email to Christopher thanking him for being a part of their wedding journey and stating that he would like to cancel the contract for the family reasons. We did not want to hurt Christopher’s feelings by bringing up his bad quality work. My daughter’s fiancée requested a refund of a $1,000 that was prepaid 12 months in advance, and as per ChassinDreamz contract, in case of cancellation, only $1,000 of non-refundable payment would be withheld and the client would not be responsible for any other payments. Christopher replied that the entire payment was non-refundable. He issued a receipt for the engagement photo shoot when there are no provisions in his contract for separate receipts of any kind other than a non – refundable $1,000. I am an attorney who deals with contracts on a daily basis. I sent an email to Christopher asking him to reference his own contract under which he could withhold the prepayment other than a non-refundable $1,000 when a client cancels the contract over 5 months in advance. Christopher replied demanding that I cease and desist contacting him and stated that he marked me as spam. This it the extent of ChassinDramz lack of professionalism. Christopher could not even reference his own contract under which he was wrongfully misappropriating the client’s funds. Instead of addressing a client’s concerns he marked a client as “spam” took the client’s money that were not due to be paid until December of 2024.
